October 21, 1999
John Foust Dear John: Thank you for your letter of October 21st. This letter will serve as a response to your October 21, 1999 letter. I will respond by paragraph. Paragraph 1 - I am glad that you find a charge of ten cents per copy reasonable. Paragraph 2 - Yes, it is clear that you do not want an indefinite number of copies of JDC paper records. There is no confusion regarding that point. Paragraph 3 - See paragraph nine of your October 20, 1999 letter and paragraph two of my October 18, 1999 letter. All records of the JDC since the district attorney ruled the JDC is a "quasi-governmental agency" are available for public inspection at my office during normal business hours. However, all those records (since September 8, 1999) have been provided to you already in either hard copy or electronic format. Paragraph 4 - I did not hang up on you. I called you with a specific question. You answered my question. I was done talking, said good-bye and hung up. I would never intentionally hang up on anyone. That would be very unprofessional and unlike me. Please accept my apologies if you thought I hung up on you. Sincerely, DAVID OLSEN Executive Director, JDC |
