David Olsen Dear Mr. Olsen, I received your Jefferson Development Corporation (JDC) letter of October 12 in the envelope postmarked October 14, which also contained your other two letters from the Commerce and Industry Association. I find it exceedingly perverse that a letter can consist of seven repetitions of the phrase I also received the agenda of the October 19 meeting of the JDC. On it is an item Also, as stated by JDC President Gaylin Morgan at the August 17 meeting of the JDC, I would also like a better explanation of the agenda item "Board membership." Several times in writing since April 1999 I have asked to join the JDC as a member (never as Board member, Pursuant to the state open records law, Wis. Stat. sec. 19.31 to 19.39, I write to request access to view the long distance telephone records for the Jefferson Development Corporation for August and September 1998, and May, June and July 1999. I would like a copy of the Quickbooks company file for the JDC on a floppy disk. My September 8 request asked for electronic financial records, not paper records. I would also like a copy of any correspondence sent by members of the JDC Board or staff to anyone at the offices of the Jefferson County District Attorney, the Wisconsin Attorney General's office, and the League of Municipalities, between August 1998 and the present. I would prefer to receive this correspondence in electronic form, on floppy disk, as soon as practicable and without delay. Sincerely, John J. Foust |
