MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

At approximately 4:00 p.m. today I went to John Foust's office to discuss the agenda for the January 18, 2000 JDC meeting. After our discussion I asked to talk with his wife, Colleen Locke.

He responded that she was not there. I asked if she would be returning before the end of the day or if she was at home. He told me not to call her at home. I responded that I, as a Rotarian, wanted to talk with Colleen. He raised his voice and told me not to call her at home. I told him not to yell at me and that I wanted to talk with Colleen.

He responded that he would yell at me if he wanted and that he, as Colleen's husband, was telling me not to call her. I told him that both Colleen's work and home numbers were listed as contact numbers for Rotary. He said that they had a listed number but I was not to call her at home.

I told him that I needed to call her for Rotary purposes. He then yelled, "Don't fucking call her at home." I told him that there was no need for profanity or to yell at me.

He then yelled, "Get out of my fucking office. Get the fuck out" as he stormed across the office (about 20 feet) toward me. I thought that he might try to hit me. He passed by me and threw the door open all the while yelling that I should leave. I left his office.

While he did not touch me, his manner and speech was very aggressive and threatening. I talked with an attorney about filing charges. He advised me not to contact the police but to document the event.
