Phil,

I am VERY unsatisfied with the JCEDC's response to John Foust's Open Records request. As you may know, Mr. Foust is a constituent of mine. I believe his request was reasonable and made in a legally correct and polite fashion.

The same can not be said of the JCEDC. Not only was their response unacceptably late, but it was also incomplete.

While I have not seen the "packet" referenced in their letter to you, from the looks of their inventory, it appears that the information they provided failed to meet fully the request made by Mr. Foust.

Apparently, Mr. Foust also believes that the response was incomplete. This is a very serious situation that can not continue. I certainly hope that you take this opportunity to communicate to the JCEDC just how deep they have dug their grave.

With their current attitude, I think it will be difficult for the budget committee to justify to taxpayers the release of the next quarter of funding.

Please share this correspondence with the budget committee and Bill Hausen. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Sharon L. Schmeling
