Mr. Foust,

Your message to Ms. Anderson from our office has been referred to me. I have succeeded Ms. Schlaefer as unit director for the unit. This message makes two requests of you.

First, please provide copies of the following documents necessary to analyze the legal issues you raise: (1) the November 20, 2002, letter from this office regarding your access to JCEDC records; (2) copies of your November 2002 requests for JCEDC records and any responses you received from the JCEDC; (3) copies of your January 9, 2003 repeated request and JCEDC's response; (4) copies of the November 15 agenda of JCEDC meeting, your statements, and any minutes of that meeting; (5) minutes of the 7/16 consortium meeting in which the fate of the computers was mentioned. Please be informed that we may request additional information from you once we analyze the documents you provide in response to this email.

Second, please provide your mailing address for our response. It is the policy of the current attorney general to respond to citizen inquiries by regular mail rather than email. The only exception is the use of email to request a mailing address. Solely for the purpose of expediting the review process, I have also used this email to request additional information from you.

I am assigning your correspondence to one of our attorneys who practices in the area of public records. We will begin the analytic process when we receive the documents from you. Because of other commitments, assignments and court deadlines, it may take us some time to fully evaluate
your concerns and respond to you. Thank you in advance for your patience.
