Subject: JCEDC records
Now that the JCEDC is set to dissolve, I'm concerned about the fate of its records.
I've heard that Yvonne Duesterhoeft had a conversation with Marilyn Haroldson where she was told that records would be turned over.
I'd like to know what's going to be turned over, and in what form. All along, I've been interested in the electronic copies of records. Are steps being taken to insure the perpetuity of all these records?
Who is overseeing the transition, and who is deciding what's being shredded and what's not?
Will those decisions be made with an eye to once and for all fulfilling my open records requests? I hope so.
I'm also interested in knowing if any funds remain in the JCEDC accounts, and if none, where they spent the $20,000 to $30,000 they received this summer from area municipalities, at the same time they owe the County $11,000 in rent.
