The Tuesday, February 18, 1997, meeting of the Cable TV Franchise Negotiating Committee was called to order at 5:30 p.m.  Committee members present were:  Ald. Wagner and Ald. Carnes.  Absent was Ald. Beyer.  Also present was City Administrator Schornack.

Ald. Wagner, seconded by Ald. Carnes moved to nominate Ald. Carnes as the chairman for the Cable TV franchise Negotiating Committee.  The motion carried unanimously.

university of wisconsin, madison, as cable consultant

Ald. Wagner, seconded by Ald. Carnes moved to recommend the hire of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Communication Department as the City's consultant for negotiating a new cable TV franchise agreement for an amount not to exceed $2,500.  The motion carried unanimously.

review of cable tv franchise ordinances and agreements from other cities

The City Administrator distributed cable TV franchise ordinances and agreements from other cities for the committee's review.

Ald. Wagner, seconded by Ald. Carnes moved to adjourn.  The motion carried unanimously.
